Information for Employees

New Hires

1.) Complete New Hire Forms: New employees must complete the new hire hire forms packet prior to the start of employment. NO employee can begin working for the University of Oklahoma without a valid I-9 and Loyalty Oath on file in Payroll & Employee Services under any circumstances. If these papers are not submitted on or before the employee's start date, the employee will not be paid. If an employee works without first submitting the required new hire forms, all parties will be in violation of Federal and State Labor Laws and the employee will be immediately terminated.

Domestic and international employees have different forms. Please select the applicable packet from the listing available on the below webpage:

(Remember to select the Norman Campus file and not OUHSC)

Note: The State Loyalty Oath must be signed in front of an HR worker upon submission of packet. Do not sign it before then.

2.) Submit Personal Data Form to the CHEM Department: After the forms have been filled out, the employee must submit a copy of the two page Personal Data Form to the department Payroll & Personnel Specialist. This can be emailed or hand delivered to the Payroll Specialist here.

3.) Submit new hire forms to Human Resources: Take the new hire forms, along with required identifying documents for the I-9 paperwork, and hand them in to the OU Office of Human Resources. The office is located in room 244 in the Nuclear Engineering Laboratory Building (NEL) just across Asp Ave. from the OU Student Union. Their street address is as follows:

Office of Human Resources
Payroll and Personnel Records
905 Asp Ave., Room 244
Norman, OK 73019-1095
(405) 325-2961
4.) Submit receipt to the CHEM Department: The employee will receive a receipt from the Office of Human Resources upon successful check-in. This receipt must be hand delivered to the CHEM Department main office at Stephenson Life Science Research Center, Room 1000 (SLSRC 1000). The employee can deliver the copy of the Personal Data Form at the same time if they wish.

Please feel free to contact the Payroll & Personnel Specialist with any questions on this process:
