Professor Ann H. West has been awarded a Brandt Professorship by OU President David L. Boren, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to research and student learning. Dr. Joseph A. Brandt was the sixth president of OU (1942-1943). As OU President, he turned OU into a modern, democratic, and faculty-oriented institution. He also established the Faculty Senate and the University College.
